Frequently asked questions

Can I choose where the page number appears?

Yes. You can place page numbers at the bottom center, bottom left, bottom right, top center, top left, or top right of each page.

Can I start numbering from a number other than 1?

Yes. You can set any starting number — useful if the PDF is part of a larger document and you need to continue from a specific page number.

What formats are available?

Three formats: plain number (e.g. "3"), "Page 3", and "Page 3 of 10". All use a clean gray font that blends with most document styles.

Will adding page numbers change my existing content?

No. The page number is drawn in the margin area on top of the page. Your existing text, images, and layout are untouched.

Does this work on scanned PDFs?

Yes. Page numbers are added as a text overlay on every page, regardless of whether the content is text-based or a scanned image.
