Frequently asked questions
How many PDF files can I merge at once? ▾
As many as your browser's memory allows. Most modern devices handle 10–20 average-sized PDFs comfortably. If you hit memory limits with very large files, merge in smaller batches and then merge the results.
Does merging PDFs reduce quality? ▾
No. Pages are copied directly from one document to another without re-encoding. Image quality, text sharpness, and vector graphics are preserved exactly as in the originals.
Can I set the page order before merging? ▾
Yes. Drag the file cards to reorder them before clicking Merge. The output PDF follows that exact order. For reordering individual pages within a single document, use the Split or Rotate PDF tools.
Will hyperlinks be preserved in the merged PDF? ▾
Clickable URLs and mailto links within page content are preserved. Document-level bookmarks or table-of-contents entries may not carry over, depending on how they were originally created.
Why is my merged PDF very large? ▾
The merged file inherits the combined size of all input files. If you need to reduce size, run the merged PDF through the Compress PDF tool immediately after merging.
